In September 2010, Passerelles Numériques opened an IT Training program in the center of Vietnam. In June 2011, an IT specialist of Officience spent one week with students of the NGO in order to help them to configure and install computer hardware that will be used for the training in 2 high schools around Danang.
To optimize the scientific impact of CIRED researches, the laboratory needs to put down texts on its Website or in the multi-disciplinary open access archive HAL. In July 2011, Officience scanned the documents, enter metadata, record and classify these texts.
TED is a nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading ideas, thanks to free videos on the web. In September 2011, Officience asked Vietnamese students, in exchange for payment, to subtitle a selection of TED’s videos in Vietnamese. Thanks to this program, a little bit more of worldwide culture is accessible to Vietnam.
